Public consultation closed

On 21 March, the public consultation on the refined version of the local plan for the southern part of Eksportosta closed. After the collection and analysis of the proposals and, if necessary, the completion of the local plan, the next and final step will be the approval of the local plan by the Riga City Council.
 
As a reminder, the main objectives of this local plan are to ensure the independent reception of passenger ships in Eksportosta, as well as to define the requirements for the use and improvement of the adjacent territory, including the organisation of an architectural competition for the best design of a new passenger and ro-ro cargo terminal building and the improvement of the adjacent territory not only for the passenger terminal, but also to improve the quality of life of the residents of the adjacent neighbourhoods.
