Riga RoPax Terminal participates at Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami

10.04.2026

Riga RoPax Terminal is once again taking part in one of the world’s most influential cruise industry events – Seatrade Cruise Global, held in Miami, USA. The event brings together global cruise industry leaders, port authorities, cruise lines, infrastructure developers and tourism organizations. As the largest cruise industry gathering worldwide, Seatrade Cruise Global attracts nearly 12,000 attendees, more than 650 exhibitors, and representatives from at least 75 cruise lines.

This year, Jūlija Bērziņa, Chairwoman of the Board of Riga RoPax Terminal, will participate as a speaker at the conference and will also moderate the panel discussion “Transition to Onshore Power Supply: Is Europe Ready?”. The topic is particularly relevant in the light of European Union regulations, which require all TEN T ports to be equipped with onshore power supply systems for passenger vessels by 31 December 2029.

The panel discussion will feature representatives from the ports of Bilbao (Spain), Portsmouth (United Kingdom) and Oslo (Norway), offering diverse perspectives on the challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of shore side electricity infrastructure.

Participation in Seatrade Cruise Global is a significant step toward strengthening international cooperation, increasing Riga’s visibility as a cruise destination, and presenting Riga Ropax Terminal as a modern, sustainable, and forward looking infrastructure project in the Baltic region.
